I call this the Trish Bar because I learned to make these from Trish (unfortunately her site poof'd.). This tutorial was created and put on this site on
August 10, 2001. For this tutorial you will need: PSP
7 You can use any fancy font for this tutorial but Sloop works very well.
Open an image 500 by 200.
Flood fill with black then add a new layer. Set white as your background color, select your Text tool, with these settings:
Type this: Bananabread Click ok. Effects > Plug-in Filters > Blade Pro - shiny gold >
The only change for this is the Shape. If you change it to the rounded shape like in the graphic above the gold will have more sheen. Click ok. Selections > Select None.
Click on the copy button Image > Flip Move the flipped image around so it is directly above the original.
Click on the copy button Image > Mirror Move the mirrored image so it buts up against the end of the original.
Click on the copy button Image > Mirror > Flip Move the flipped/mirrored image so it fits into the top right of your bar.
Delete your "black" layer, merge the four "bar" layers and then finish it off with or without a drop shadow and as a transparent or filled with appropriate background.
Here are some others using different fonts: Kunstler Script
