For this tutorial you will need:
Paint Shop Pro 7 ~ download a trial version here.

If you are familiar with vectors and would like to make the pot using vectors click here for those instructions.

Open a new image 400 x 400.

File > Save As > berrypot.psp

Don't forget to save your work often!

Colors:
Set foreground to #5E2416 (dark brown)

Set background to #96361C (terracotta)

Add a new layer and name it body.

Selections > Load selection from disk > bp-body.sel

Choose your fill tool and fill with the dark brown.

Selections > Modify > Contract > 1

Click ok.

Flood fill with the terracotta.

Selections > Float.

Effects > 3D Effects > Cut Out > these settings:

Click ok.

Leave selected.

Add a new layer.

Effects > 3D Effects > Cut Out > these settings:

(Click for larger view.)

Click ok.

Selections > Select none.

Turn off layer 1 > Layers > Merge > Merge visible.  Name this layer body.
