Sugared Candy
Sticks Tutorial

For this tutorial
you will need:
PSP 7 ~ download
a trial version.
Bullet line ~ download
here.
(Unzip into your Jasc Styled Lines folder.)
WW-Candy preset ~ download here.
(Unzip into your Jasc Presets folder.)
Open a new image:
300 x 400 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors
Add a new raster layer.
Step 1:
Set the background styles box to null and foreground styles box to any
gradient with these settings:
Style Linear
Angle 45
Repeats 25-35
Step 2:
Select your draw tool and set at:
Single line
Width 20
Antialias checked
Vector UNchecked
Style bullet
Step 3:
Hold down the shift key and draw a line from top to bottom about 320 pix
long.

Step 4:
Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel > ww-candy preset:

Add a new layer and repeat
steps 1-4 but use a different gradient.
Repeat making sticks so
that you have 6 sticks.

Now you want to line them
up. Not all straight though. So use your mover tool and
stack them up.

Turn off layer 1.
Layers > Merge >
Merge visible.
Right click on your merged
layer in your Layer Palette and duplicate.
Selections > Select
all.
Selections > Float.
Effects > Texture
Effects > Mosaic - Antique > these settings:
Columns & Rows 50
Tile opacity 50
Grout width 2
Grout opacity 20
Selections > Select
none.
In the Layer Palette set
the duplicated layer to 40-50 opacity and the blend mode to Screen.

Layers > Merge >
Merge visible.
Now add whatever
background you wish and save in your preferred format and/or tube your
sugared candy sticks.
