For this tutorial you will need:
Paint Shop Pro 7 ~ download a trial version here.
Simple Filters ~ download here.

Open a new 100 by 100 image with these settings:

Click ok.

Flood fill with your choice of color.

I am using #800000.

Effects > Texture Effects > Blinds > these settings:

Click ok.

Apply the Blinds again but check Horizontal.

Click ok.

Zoom in twice.
(View > Zoom in by 1 > 2x)

Choose your selection tool , place your cursor at 0,0 and draw to 30,30 encompassing 9 squares.

Effects > Geometric Effects > Twirl > these settings:

Click ok.

Click copy > Edit > Paste as a new layer (ctrl+L) 7 times.

Selections > Select None.

You should now have 7 little twirlies.

With your mover tool move each little twirl into place.

Here I have outlined where to place each of the in green.

Once you have those placed go to normal view .

Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.

Effects > Plug-in Filters > Simple > Blintz.

Effects > Plug-in Filters > Simple > Pizza Slice Mirror.

All done!
