For this tutorial you
will need:
PSP 7 ~ download a
trial version.
Simple's Filter ~ download
here.
Golden gradient ~ download here.
(Unzip into your gradient folder in
PSP.)
Xenofex - download
here. (The demo will not work for this.)
FM Tile Tools ~ download
here. (The demo will not work for this.)
Open a new image:
200 x 200 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors
Set your foreground to
null and your background to gradient.

Click on the gradient in
the Styles box and set at:
Golden gradient
Horizontal & Vertical 50
Repeats 0
Style Rectangular Gradient
(You may need to change
to Linear Style to change the Angle and then set it to Rectangular.)

Flood fill your image
with the gradient.

Effects > Plug-in
Filters > Xenofex > Shower Door > at these settings:
Dot Size 12
Random Seed 17

Effects > Geometric
Effects > Spiky Halo > these settings:
Horizontal offset
-100
Vertical offset 100
Radius 1
Amplitude 10
Frequency 10

For a softer look skip this next step.
Effects > Plug-in
Filters > FM Tile Tools > Blend Emboss > these settings:
Horizontal offset -1.000
Vertical offset -1.000
Intensity 0.250
Gray Level 64
Red, Green, & Blue Blends 0.938
Edge Wrap checked

Effects > Plug-in
Filters > Simple > Quick Tile.
