This tutorial was created
on October 12, 2001and put on this site on
February 1, 2002. For this tutorial you will need: Eye Candy 3 ~ download
a full version here
or here. You need to use a very "chunky" font for this tutorial. Below are a few to chose from if you don't have any. Just click on the name of the one you want to download. They are all shown in 26pt.
Open the autumn graphic. Right click on the "background layer" in the Layer Palette and click on Promote to layer. Right click on the layer again and choose Duplicate. Set your foreground color to null. Set your background to any color, I am using white.
Add a new layer. Using your text Leave selected. Selections > Invert (this will defloat it.) Activate the duplicated layer. Hit your delete key once. Selections > Select none. You can now delete your layer with the white text on it. If you turn off the original layer you should have this: With your duplicate layer active Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Effects > Texture Effects > Tiles > these settings: Shape Hexagon
