Selections > Select none.

Play with the opacity of your shadow layers.

Add a new layer.

Drag this layer to the bottom of your Layer Palette.

Flood fill with white.

On your original layer, adjust the opacity to 85%.

Layers > Merge > Merge visible.

Frame to your liking.
