Just Another Frame This tutorial was created
and put on this site on August 2, 2003. For this tutorial you will
need:
Minimize your wood tile. In the Layer Palette right click on the background layer and Promote to Layer. Image > Canvas size: Effects > 3D Effects > Drop shadow > these settings: Effects > 3D Effects > Drop shadow > these settings: Selections > Select all. Selections > Modify > Contract > 27 > ok. Selections > Invert. Add a new raster layer and name it color. Flood fill the selection with your color of choice, I am using #5C976C. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add noise > these settings: Effects > Plugins > dbs Flux > Blast > these settings: Repeat the Blast but change the direction to Right. Repeat the Blast but change the direction to Upwards. Repeat the Blast but change the direction to Downwards. Selections > Select none. Right click on the color layer and Duplicate. Layers > Arrange > Send to bottom. Activate the color layer (should be the top layer). Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add noise > these settings: Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur > 5.0 > ok. On the color layer set the layer blend mode to Dissolve and adjust the opacity of the color layer to 50-75 %. Activate the copy of color layer. Effects > Texture Effects > Texture > these settings: Set your foreground to: Image > Add borders > 5 pixels, symmetric, white. Select your magic wand set at 0 tolerance and feather, click on the white border to select it. Flood fill the selection with the wood pattern. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner bevel > these settings: Selections > Invert. Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout > these settings: Selections > Select none. Set your foreground to: Image > Add borders > 15 pixels, symmetric, white. With your magic wand click on the white border to select it. Flood fill the selection with the wood pattern. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner bevel > these settings: Selections > Select none. Set your foreground to: Image > Add borders > 5 pixels, symmetric, white. With your magic wand click on the white border to select it. Flood fill the selection with the wood pattern. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner bevel > these settings: Selections > Select none. All finished!
