For this tutorial you will need:
PSP 7 ~ download a trial version.
Tutorial Selections ~ download here then unzip and place in a folder easy to access.
Chrome Gradient ~ download here and unzip into your gradient folder.
Cloud Texture (if needed) ~ download here and unzip into the Textures folder.

Open a new image:
400 x 400 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors

File > Save as > slide.psp
Every couple of steps be sure to hit your save button.

Add a new layer.

Selections > Load from disk... > find your unzipped folder > back-ladder.sel > open.

Set your foreground color to white.

Flood fill the selection.

Effects > Texture Effects > Sculpture > Silver preset.

Click ok.

Set your background color to black.

Set your background texture to Clouds.

With your fill tool still selected right click once in your selection.

Effects > Texture Effects > Sandstone > these settings:

Blur  20
Detail  80
Luminance  13
Angle  45
Color  white
