PSP "Marching
Ants" Tag This tutorial
was created and put on this site on April 27, 2003. For this tutorial
you will need:
Open a new image: File > Save as > pspblinkie.psp PART 1 Add a layer, name
it solid and flood Add a new, name it
background and flood Effects >
Plug-in Filters > MuRa's Seamless > Checks > these settings: Lower the opacity of the background layer to 25. Add a new raster
layer, name it main and flood Effects >
Plug-in Filters > MuRa's Seamless > Checks > these settings: Grab your
selection Place your cursor
at 20,20 and draw down to 180,180 creating a selection that is 160
square. Selections > Invert. Hit your delete key once. Selections > Invert. Add a new raster layer and name it cutout. Effects > 3D
Effects > Cutout > these settings: Selections > Select none. Hit your save button and move this image over, bring the tool icons image back up.
PART 2 Grab your
selection Draw a selection around one of the tool icons that you want to use. You may want to zoom in to do this.
Edit > Copy. Edit > Paste > As new image. (My images were coming out at 30 x 25.) Selections > Select all. Selections > Modify > Contract > 6 > ok. Selections > Modify > Feather > 5 > ok. Edit > Copy. Back to your pspblinkie image. Add a new raster layer and name it tools. Right click on the top bar of the image and choose Paste as new selection. Place the tool
somewhere on the checkerboard.
Place as many of the different tool icons on your pspblinkie image as you like by repeating the steps in PART 2. Keep in mind that some of your icons may be covered up with the text so you may want to keep to the edge of the checkerboard.
