Tiny Country
Picture
I saw a picture like this
on someone's site a while ago and thought it was too cute and decided to
make one myself. This tutorial was
created and put on this site on April 3, 2003. For this tutorial
you will need:
Open a new image: Flood Rename this first layer sky. Add a new raster layer and name it hill1. Set your foreground to a medium green, I am using #7BAB7B. Set your background to null. Set your draw Draw the top outline of the first hill like shown below.
Add a new raster layer and name it hill2. Draw the top outline of the second hill like shown below.
Set your airbrush On each layer fill in the hill area.
Lower the opacity of both hill layers down to 50 so you can easily see the edges. Activate hill1 layer. Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Selections > Defloat. Add a new raster layer and name it hill1 shadow. Set your foreground to a dark green than you used for the hills, I am using #3B5B3B. Set your airbrush Brush along the exposed edge. You want to be sure to follow the edge of hill2 that overlaps and make it a bit denser than the other edges. I have zoomed in once to see it better. Effects > Blur > Gaussian Blur > 5.5 > ok. Selections > Select none. Return the opacity of your hill layers to 100%. Turn off all layers except the hill1 and hill1 shadow layers. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Rename this layer hill1. Effects > Noise > Add > 5%, uniform > ok. Turn all layers back on. Activate hill2 layer. Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Selections > Defloat. Edit > Copy. Right click in the top of your image bar and "Paste as New Selection." Drop off your flower wherever you like. Continue to paste as new selections until you have as many flowers as you like.
Add a new layer and name it sun. Set your foreground to a warm yellow, I am using #EDDF81. Set your selection
Draw out a nice circle for your sun. It does not have to be perfectly round. Fill the selection with the yellow. Add a new raster layer and name it sun2. Effects > 3D
