Page 2 Activate your cone layer and hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections > select none. Activate your inside layer. Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Selections > Defloat. Add a new raster layer and name it "rim". Selections > Modify > Expand > 3 > ok. Flood fill your selection with white. Selections > Modify > Contract > 5 > ok. Hit your delete key. Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Effects > Plug-in filters > Flaming Pear > Blade Pro > your choice of preset. I am using a shiny
textured gold. Selections > Select none. Activate your inside layer. Image > Mirror. Colors > Adjust > Brightness/Contrast > -25 brightness, 0 contrast > ok. Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Effects > 3D
effects > Cutout > these settings: Selections > Select none. Activate the cone layer. Colors > Adjust > Brightness/Contrast > 20 brightness, 0 contrast > ok. Activate your rim layer. Using your selection tool set at rectangular, feather 0, antialias UNchecked, draw a box around the top half of your rim. You may want to zoom in by one for this. Again the purple line is just for visual aide.
Once you have the selection in place, Selections > Promote to layer. Rename this layer "inside rim". Activate your rim layer and hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections > select none. There is our basic nosegay holder. No we will add the hangers and embellish a bit. Set your background to null and your foreground to solid white. Select your draw
tool and set at: Starting at the
corner of the rim draw up so the "chain" is about 115 long and
end it centered.
Right click on the vector layer and convert to raster. Right click on this layer again and duplicate. Image > Mirror. Turn off all layers except the two chain layers. Right click on one of the chain layers and Merge > Merge visible. Rename this layer "chain". Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Effects > Plug-in filters > Flaming Pear > Blade Pro > same preset. Using the draw tool again draw some "chains" hanging down from the rim. Right click on the vector layer and convert to raster. Rename this layer "rim chains". Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Effects > Plug-in filters > Flaming Pear > Blade Pro > same preset. Set your shapes
tool at: Draw a circle about 40 x 40. *Note - hold down the shift key while drawing your circle, this will keep it even. Objects > Align > Horizontal center in canvas. Right click on this vector layer and convert to raster. Rename this layer "ring". Selections > Select all. Selections > Float. Effects > Plug-in filters > Flaming Pear > Blade Pro > same preset. You can decide if you want the ring above or below the chains - move the layer accordingly. You can decide if you want the rim chains above or below the rim - move the layer accordingly. Activate your rim chains layer. Grab your lasso
tool and set at: Draw a selection around the pieces of rim chains that are in the cone area.
Click on one of the chain pieces. This will select only the chain pieces that are in the cone area. Effects > 3D
Effects > Drop shadow > these settings: Selections > Select none. Delete your background layer if you have one. Turn off the inside and rim inside layers. Right click on one of the other layers and Merge > Merge visible. Rename this layer front. Turn off the front layer. Turn the inside and rim inside layers back on. Right click on one of these layers and Merge > Merge visible. Rename this layer back. Now you have two layers. To fill your nosegay holder add a layer between these two and add your flowers or what not. Have fun!
