You will need the following for this tutorial:

The tutorial zip which includes:
HotRod font ~ place in your fonts folder.
selections
Blade Pro presets ~ place in your enviroments & textures folder.

Paint Shop Pro 7 ~ download a trial version here.
Eye Candy 3 ~ download a full version here or here.
Eye Candy 4000 ~ trial version will not work for this but is preferred.
Blade Pro - Download a trial version.

Open a new 500 x 140 image with these settings:

Click ok.

Set the foreground color to red and the background color to yellow.

Both Styles boxes should be set to solid.

Select your text tool.  Click inside your image.
Create the text like the following:

Click ok.

Effects > Plug-in Filters > Flaming Pear > Blade Pro > bevel shiny preset except change the radius to 5.

Click ok.

Selections > Select None.

Add a new layer.

Selections > Load from disk > find v-tires.sel > click ok.

Choose your flood fill tool.

Flood fill with black.

Selections > Modify > Contract > 1 > click ok.

Flood fill with the dark gray.

Selections > Select None.

Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel > these settings:

Click ok.

Add a new layer.

Selections > Load from disk > find v-hubcap.sel > click ok.

Flood fill with white.
