Terms

For this
tutorial you will need:
Paint Shop Pro ~ download
a trial version.
Greg's Factory Output vol II ~ download here.
(I could not find a
true author download site so I will offer the filters until I find
a good url.)
A nice bold font, I
will be using Cooper Black ~ this is not a free font but if you
are interested in getting it please go here.
Open a new
image:
600 x 200 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors
File >
Save as > boldgold.pspimage
Be sure to
hit your save button on a regular basis!
Set the
foreground style box to null.
Set your background style box to solid fill with a dark gold, I am
using #D0B982.
Select your
text tool.
Click in
your image.
These are
the settings I used:
Create as Vector
Cooper Black
Size 72
Vector selected
Antialias checked
Line width 0
I typed Bold
Gold.
Objects >
Align > Center in canvas.
In your
layer palette, right click on the vector layer and Convert to
Raster Layer.
Effects >
3D effects > Inner bevel > these settings:
Bevel shape 9 
Width 4
Smoothness 11
Depth 4
Ambience 0
Shininess 50
Color gold, I am using #D4B664
Angle 40
Intensity 39
Elevation 48
Effects >
Plugins > Greg's Factory Output vol II > Radial Hilite >
these settings:
(default)
Red 198
Green 197
Blue 198
Frequency 128
Phase 113
Save in your
preferred format.
