EZ Web Buttons

Terms of Use

For this tutorial you will need:
Paint Shop Pro 8  ~ download a trial version.
ww-ezball preset ~ download here, unzip into your PSP8 presets folder.

If you do not have v8 then don't bother with the above preset ~ instead download this zip which contains a v7 PSP image and a selection file, open the image in PSP and save the selection file somewhere easy to find, and start following the tutorial at the *** notation.

Open a new image:
100 x 100 pixels
Transparent
Raster background
16.7 Million colors

Set your style boxes to:
Foreground white solid
Background black solid

Effects > Artistic Effects > Balls & Bubbles > ww-ezball preset.

Selections > Select all.

Selections > Float.

Selections > Modify > Select Selection Borders > these settings:
Inside
Anti-alias checked
Width 15

***v7 users start here.
(Open the image in PSP, then Selections > Load from disk > ww-ezbuttons.sel > open.)

Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Colorize > Hue 120, Saturation 25 > ok.

Add a new raster layer.

Effects > 3D effects > Cutout > these settings:
Vertical & Horizontal 0
Opacity 100
Blur 10
Shadow color white

Activate the bottom layer, the one with the ball/button on it.

Selections > Select all.

Selections > Float.

Selections > Modify > Contract > 15 > ok.

Add a new raster layer.

Effects > 3D effects > Cutout > these settings:
Vertical & Horizontal 0
Opacity 100
Blur 10
Shadow color black

Selections > Select none.

In the layer palette your raster 3 layer should be the cutout you just did.  Right click on it and duplicate.

Right click on any of the layers and Merge > Merge visible.

Your button is ready to be saved in the format of choice and used.

These are great for making rollover buttons also!
