Picture Filled Text
I recently received an email asking how to do this - I looked around for a
tutorial but did not find one. This
tutorial was created and put on this site on August 30, 2004. For this tutorial
you will need:
Open a new image: Set your foreground to black and your background to white. Select your text tool and set your text. These are the settings I used: You can grab the outside adjuster nodes and stretch the text to fill your image.
Objects > Align > Center in canvas. In your layer palette right click on the vector layer and convert to raster. Select your magic wand and set at: Click on the white area inside the C. Activate the cat1 image. Edit > Copy. Activate your text image. Edit > Paste > Paste into selection.
Click on the white area inside the A. Activate the cat2 image. Edit > Copy. Activate your text image. Edit > Paste > Paste into selection. Click on the white area inside the T. Activate the cat3 image. Edit > Copy. Activate your text image. Edit > Paste > Paste into selection. Click on the white area inside the S. Activate the cat4 image. Edit > Copy. Activate your text image. Edit > Paste > Paste into selection. Selections > Select none. Now you can give your text a drop shadow, cutout or bevel, whatever you prefer. Here is mine with an inner bevel and drop shadow.
