Nan's Jeweled Shield Page 2 Now that you have the Pinball tutorial completed we will continue. Image > Canvas Size > these settings:
In the layer palette right click on the merged layer and rename to top. Right click again and duplicate then rename to bottom. Image > Flip. Activate the top layer and duplicate. Rename the copy layer to left. Image > Rotate > Free rotate > 90 left, rotate single layer around canvas center checked, all layers UNchecked. Right click on the left layer and duplicate. Rename the copy layer to right. Image > Mirror. In the layer palette be sure that the right and left layers are above the top and bottom layers. Activate the lasso/freehand selection tool and set at: Place your cursor at 0,0 and click once. You should now have a triangular selection at the top of your image. Making sure your left layer is active hit your delete key. Activate the right layer and delete. Place your cursor at 0,1000 and click once. You should now have a triangular selection at the bottom of your image. Activate the left layer and delete. Activate the right layer and delete. Selections > Select none. Right click on any of the layers and Merge > Merge visible. Duplicate the merged layer. Image > Rotate > Free rotate > 45 left, rotate single layer around canvas center checked, all layers UNchecked. Right click on any of the layers and Merge > Merge visible. Selection your selection tool to: Place your cursor at 500,500 and draw out a selection almost to the edge of the image, about 984 in diameter. I am showing where I drew my selection in yellow.
Selections > Invert. Hit your delete key. Selections > Invert. Selections > Modify > Contract > 30 > ok. Selections > invert. Selections > Promote selection to layer. Selections > Select none. Back ~ Tutorial Index ~ Next
