Pinked Fabric Squares
This
tutorial was created and put on this site on August 24, 2004. For this tutorial
you will need: First we need to make the gingham fill. Open a new image: You may want to zoom in while making your gingham. Flood fill your first layer with white. Add a new raster layer. Set your selection tool to rectangle, feather 0, and anti-alias unchecked. Start in the top left corner (0,0) and click and drag to the middle of your image (10,10). Flood fill the selection with your choice of color, I am using #7194CD. Selections > Select none. In your layer palette right click on the raster 2 layer and duplicate, then duplicate again. Activate the top layer. Image > Flip. Set the opacity of this layer to 50%. Activate the second layer down. Image > Mirror. Set the opacity of this layer to 50%. Right click on any of the layers and merge.
Now your gingham is ready for use.
