Terms of Use

For this tutorial you will need:
Paint Shop Pro  ~ download a trial version.

Open a new image:
25 x 25 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors

View > Zoom > In by 5 steps.  Repeat.  If need be repeat again.
(Yep its tiny alright!)

Set your foreground to orange, I am using #FF9001.

Activate your paint brush and set at:
Size 1
Hardness 100
Step 1
Density 100
Opacity 100

Paint the pumpkin outline following the screenshot below:

Select your magic wand and set at:
0 Tolerance
0 Feather
Anti-alias unchecked

Click in the empty section on the left side.

Flood fill with a light orange, I am using, #FFD8A9.

Selections > Float.

Effects > 3D effects > Cutout > these settings:
Horizontal & Vertical 0
Opacity 100
Blur 3
Shadow color Same as first orange, #FF9001 
Filled unchecked

Selections > Select none.

Using your magic wand again click inside the right side empty section,
flood fill with the light orange, float selection and apply same cutout.

Selections > Select none.

Using your magic wand again click inside the middle section,
flood fill with the light orange, float selection and apply same cutout but change the blur to 5.0.

Selections > Select none.

Set your foreground to green, I am using #008000.

Paint in the stem and leaves following the screen shot below:

Using your magic wand, click inside the stem and leaves.

Flood fill with a light green, I am using #C9EDC9.

Selections > Float.

Effects > 3D effects > Cutout > these settings:
Horizontal & Vertical 0
Opacity 100
Blur 3
Shadow color Same as first green, #008000
Filled unchecked

Selections > Select none.

Your pumpkin is ready for use!
